Pssst… did you hear about the Red Xbox?!

There are some rumours making their way around the Web that the guys at Microsoft may be releasing a red Xbox to coincide with the release of one of the most anticipated titles of 2009, Resident Evil 5. The rumour seems to have some backing, judging by a picture posted on kotaku.com, showing part of a Toys ‘R Us database, detailing an “XB360 HW RED ELITE”. With such a product, one can only assume there will be some sort of bundle in store, possibly with some other goodies.

Microsoft seem to be great on the marketing of these gimmick releases, but will anyone actually want a Red Xbox?
