Warhawk Opens it’s Database to the Community

Dylan Jobe - game director of Warhawk on PlayStation 3 - has posted on the Playstation.Blog letting us know that Incognito are opening the Warhawk database up to the community. This is the real deal and they will provide players with the full raw data stream. This means that players will now be able to access a plethora of information from stats on every single game ever played right down to a player’s stats on a specific day.
The stream is being made available via XML and will be require some web 2.0 knowledge to take full advantage of it. If you are not up to speed on your web dev skills at the moment there are already sites that have begun plugging into the stream, the first of which is the already popular MyHawk.org.
Clans will now be able to schedule matches online and view the results of game in detail after it’s done.
This is a huge step forward in making raw game stats available to the fans and it is something that we’ve never seen done before, at least on this scale. It won’t be long until we see some savvy Warhawk fans developing their own sites and presenting stats in ways that we have never seen before.
Does mean now that the missus can check up on us in tiny detail? Absolutely!
Well done Dylan Jobe and the engineering team at Incognito. This makes CuriousOnion curious as to what else the team is working on. Warhawk 2 perhaps?
