Killzone 2 sales hit the 1M mark

SCEA has announced that its flagship PS3 exclusive has sold over one million copies worldwide, which makes it to date, the “biggest initial success at retail of any first-party PS3 title to date.”

It’s been almost seven weeks since Killzone 2 made it debut, which by the laws of division puts it at about 143 000 copies a week. It’s interesting comparing Killzone 2’s sales to Gears of War 2, which managed to sell twice as Killzone 2’s seven weeks in its first week. Still, it is a big number and we are sure it has Sony smiling ear to ear.
