Microsoft extends Xbox 360 warranty cover to include the E74 Error
Some might say that it’s about time but it’s good news all around that Microsoft have officially acknowledged that the E74 Error “can indicate the general hardware failure that is associated with three flashing red lights error on the console” and in addition to extending warranty coverage to include the error, they will refund who were made to pay an out of warranty charge after running into the problem.
“While the majority of Xbox 360 owners continue to have a great experience with their console, we are aware that a very small percentage of our customers have reported receiving an error that displays “E74” on their screen”
To date have warranty coverage extensions have cost Microsoft a cool $1 billion in chargers. If they can afford that, imagine how much they’ve profited from Xbox sales.
