ufc2009 UFC 2009 brings the UK chart to its knees

The Ultimate Fighting Championship 2009, brought to us by THQ and developer Yuke, has topped the UK all formats chart in its debut week. Sales are split closely between the 360(52 percent) and the PS3(48 percent) beating Pokemon Platinum for DS and EA’s Sports Active for Wii which came in second and third.

Bionic Commando, Capcom’s contribution to the list debuted at 14 which we are sure was a disappointment to Grin, the games developer.

The list is as follows according to GFK Chart track:

1. UFC 2009: Undisputed (THQ)
2. Pokémon Platinum (Nintendo)
3. EA Sports Active (EA)
4. Wii Fit (Nintendo)
5. FIFA 2009 (EA)
6. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Activision Blizzard)
7. Wii Play (Nintendo)
8. Mario Kart Wii (Nintendo)
9. My Fitness Coach (Ubisoft)
10. Call Of Duty: World At War (Activision Blizzard)

It is a class game so it is no shock that it has hit number 1. Nothing beats knocking Chuck Lidell out in the first round.
