Game Diary 19 June – A round up of what the CuriousOnion team has been playing

Prototype - When I first started playing I was a little confusseld with the controls because I’d been playing inFamous for two weeks strait but after a session or two it started to make sense. Alex Mercer is insanely powerful and not only can he tear near 10 solders to shreds with a single tap of the square button but travel right across New York in a matter of minutes with massive jumps and spectacular looking wall runs.
Consuming enemies to replenish health and learn their toughs is so gory that it freaks me out a little each time I do it but I like it. It’s like eating one of the sour sweets, you know it’s going to make your face scrunch up but you just can’t help popping one after another into your mouth. It’s a great game and I’m really looking forward to the ending.

Final Fantasy VII -Naturally, I was thrilled when I heard it was coming since I've never had the chance to finish it and now I'm finally getting the chance to do so. This game has some of the greatest stories written for any game and, considering how old it is, still plays amazingly well. However, if you have a PSP to load it on, I'd highly recommend doing that since the game will look terrible on a modern LCD. Now we only have to wait for Final Fantasy VIII and IX!

Assassin's Creed - I know I know, late to the party but after all the AC2 hype during and after E3 I finally caved and bought the original. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much of this more than two year old title but man I was surprised! I'm about halfway through and even though the monotony is starting to sink in, I'm still quite emerged in the atmosphere. Going to see if I can polish this before the end of the week.

Prototype - I thought I would give this game ago and to be honest I am glad I have!
It's different to inFamous and it just feels pure evil!! I am enjoying the story, but not as much as the inFamous story though.

inFamous - I have completed this game while being good but now it's time to start being evil! It will be interesting to see who is more evil, Cole or Alex..
