ps3stream PS3 Media Server transcodes streams in real time

I’ve always used Nullsoft’s Medialink app to stream content from my Mac to my Ps3 and its always worked like a charm. It makes it very easy to stream iTunes music, iPhoto pics and any selected folder right to my PS3. However, limitations arise when trying to stream formats that are not supported by the PS3 itself like the MKV, OGM and FLV file formats.

PS3 Media server can transcode unsupported PS3 formats in real time and stream them directly, in a readable format right to your PS3. It even supports real time transcoding of Video TS folders and picture based feeds like Picasaweb and flickr.

PS3 Media is a free download and is available for both Windows and OS X and if you don’t own an Apple TV, now with a PS3 and PS3 Media you really don’t have to.
